Margaret Ann Moore Hunt, 80 of Alvord, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17th, at the White Family Funeral Home with Pastor Gregg Shaw officiating.
Burial to follow at New Harp Cemetery in Forestburg. Pallbearers include, Chasen Duncan, Shane Hunt, Hunter Harris, Cooper Masten, Bradyn Hunt, Coyt Curry, Colton Curry and Brian Rater.
Margaret was born November 20th, 1945, in Decatur, TX to Oliver W and Pauline (Freeman) Moore. On May 2, 1980, Margaret married Elmer Leon Hunt in Waurika, OK. She was a line supervisor for the Haggar Slack Company for many years and later worked as a caregiver at Independence Hall in Bowie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hunt; parents, Oliver Moore and Pauline Moore Clark; stepfather, Emery Clark; brother, Ernest Moore; son, Ricky Pigg; grandson, Brandon Duncan; great-granddaughter Evany Barragon.
Margaret is survived by her children, Terry Harris and wife Pam of Alvord, Missy Duncan and husband Scotty of Chico, Monnie Joe Hunt and wife Margaret of Bowie, John Hunt and wife Kristi of Bowie, Stacy Masten and husband John of Alvord; grandchildren, Shane Hunt, Brian Rater, Holly Curry, Haylee Harris, Hunter Harris, Phylicia Gibbs, Bradyn Hunt, Chasen Duncan, Cooper Masten, Felicia Lynch and Frankie Lynch; great-grandchildren Audree, Emersen, Elliott, Devin, Coyt, Conlee, Alexis, Adalynn, Amelia, Zaydie, Josie, Hattie, Slaton, Kellen and Cora; siblings Connie Browning, Paul Moore and Gail Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire memorials can be made in honor of Margaret to the Bowie Animal Shelter at 1504 E. Wise St. Bowie, TX 76230 or the American Cancer Society.
