Marilyn Welch, 67 of Bowie, TX went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 with her family by her side.
A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Pastor Glenn Neff officiating.
Marilyn was born September 10, 1956 in Bowie, TX to Billy Joe and Alphine (Tucker) McGee. She graduated from Bowie High School, and attended Blackburn College in Illinois. As a young woman she worked for Leonard Ashley in office supply, and then started a 20 year long career as a teller with Legend Bank, until her retirement in 2020.
Marilyn enjoyed doing puzzles, anything crafty she was very artistic and loved painting. She attended First Free Will Baptist Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Jo McGee.
Marilyn is survived by her mother, Alphine Wheeler; brothers, Joe McGee and Jeff McGee and his partner Traci Prestwood, all of Bowie; nephew, Keaton McGee of Bowie; niece Kellie Thompson of Cleburne, TX; and her beloved cat Diesel.

I was so sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing. I worked with her at Legend Bank and she was always so friendly with a smile on her face.
