Obituary For Michael Frank Hankins

Michael Frank "Mike" Hankins, of Bowie, Texas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 1, 2024 at the age of 69.

Graveside services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.

Mike was born on the 9th of August, 1954. He graduated from Bowie High School and then attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas where he graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

Mike was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie where he worked for years at opening and closing the church. He also worked for Wal-Mart in Bowie for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Fairy Hankins, and his brother, Sonny Hankins.

Mike is survived by his brother, Gene Hankins of Victoria, Texas; his niece and nephews, Shelly, Frank, and David Hankins, and many cousins.

Prayers will miss visiting with you

I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was definitely one of the good guys. He was in our wedding when Neal & I married in 1977. Hankie, as we all called him back then, sent a gift to my bridal shower- a rolling pin! I still have it 47 years later!
