Nora “Juanita” Willett, affectionately known as Nita and Grandma, of Sunset, TX passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord, on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Juanita was born on December 7, 1925, in Myra, TX to Bert and Bertie (Tuggle) Fenley, the 5th child in the lineup of 10 children. The family lived on a farm where she learned how to harvest crops and even how to drive a tractor.

Juanita married the love of her life, BW Willett on February 18, 1945. They were married 43 years until his passing in 1988. Together, they had 6 wonderful children, Carol, Kenneth, Frances, James, Kay and Lynnette.

Juanita loved quilting and made numerous quilts throughout the years that were gifted to many of her family and friends. She loved ceramics and even had a small ceramics shop for a while. Her main “hobby” though was her multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved pouring her time and energy into them, whether it was playing cards and dominos with them or curled up in her recliner with them in her lap.

She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of the Victory Baptist Church in Park Springs. She loved fiercely, and with her whole heart. Her family meant everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Bertie Fenley, her husband BW Willett, daughters, Frances Moose and Kay Lassiter, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her 9 siblings.

Juanita is survived by her children, Carol Ubbins, James Willett (Brigitte), Kenneth Willett, and Lynnette Willett; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.

I can honestly say this was an amazing grandmother, raising kids isn't easy by any means and yet she did not only to her own children but also her children's children. I am proud to say that the best grandmother outlasted my other grand parents. Grandmaw you surely will be missed from the random phone calls I got to me just showing up at your door. Thank you for helping me become the person I am today. I know grandpaw is happy to see you again and the same with my mom. Just always know that not a single day went by that I didn't think of you and know that I'll be ok knowing that you are truly now in gods hands. It hasn't even been a week but I miss you like crazy! I love you Grandmaw!
