Obituary For Randy Lee Fowler

Randy Lee Fowler, 65 of Sunset, TX, fought with great vigor against Mantle Cell Lymphoma before leaving this world on September 8, 2026, at 8:44 am and went on to his next adventure.

Visitation will be held at the White Family Funeral Home on Sunday, September 13th from 4 to 6 p,m.

Funeral services will be on Monday, September 14th at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Saint Jo. Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to a brief internment at Smyrna Cemetery near Sunset.

Randy was born March 6, 1961, in Fort Worth to John and Barbara Fowler. He was the youngest of 4 children and grew up enjoying an active lifestyle alongside friends and family. He attended school in Sunset before transferring to Bowie, Texas where he completed his education.

Randy met his wife Stella Thompson in 1979 and later they married at First United Methodist Church in Saint Jo in 1980. They welcomed their only child Crystal in 1982 and as a family they enjoyed a long life of memories and joy.

Randy was a family-loving, faith guided man who brought joy to all he met. He was known for his humor and often brought a smile to those around him with his light-hearted jokes and storytelling. He enjoyed family gatherings filled with games and smiles.

He often could be found traveling to some of his favorite destinations or playing mini-golf. He loved finding places to explore from new trails to beautiful locations. No one could deny his love for Peanuts characters or Christmas as he often could be found in a shirt featuring Snoopy or planning for the next big display of Christmas lights. His annual display was a labor of love to bring a twinkle to the eyes of others throughout December.

His kindness would often find him at the service of others as he would find a way to simply share his life in a way that would make the lives of others better. Through simple activities and volunteering with his local church, to how he treated even strangers his ripple of kindness through service was often seen. Building, repairing and creating he was handy in many ways.

He has been guided throughout his life by faith, fueled by curiosity and grounded in love for his family. His immense heart brought him through the hardest times and allowed him to even in sickness find joy toward others. He leaves us as a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend with a deep sadness but a beauty knowing that we were blessed to have encountered his open heart and laugh as he encouraged us all to love a bit more and laugh a little harder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Fowler, grandparents Alton and Venus Blaylock, Mary Overton and Guess Fowler and nephew Tim Fowler.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Stella Fowler and daughter Crystal Carroll of Sunset, brother Neal and his wife Maggie Fowler of Bowie, sister Gayla and her husband Gary Johnson of Sunset, brother Johnny and his wife Shirley Fowler of Sunset and numerous nieces and nephews whom which he loved dearly.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to a place which became very special and assisted with great comfort during this difficult time, Rathgeber Hospitality House, 1615 12th St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301 in honor of Randy Fowler.
