Obituary For Rita "Lynette" Erwin

Rita Lynette Cassetty Erwin, 48, of Corinth, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, in Denton, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, August 9, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Decatur, Texas with Ronny Phillips, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Bellevue Cemetery in Bellevue, Texas.

Family will receive friends at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, Texas on Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 pm.

Lynette was born in Henrietta, Texas on September 6, 1972, to Gene Foster and Rita Jean (Wells) Cassetty. Lynette graduated from Bellevue High School in 1990. She earned an associate degree in business from Cooke County College in 1993. She began a career in aerospace for Boeing Airlines and was currently employed as a production supervisor for Recaro Aircraft Seating.

She married Bobby Gene Erwin, Jr. on May 22, 1999, at the First Baptist Church in Decatur, Texas. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Lynette was an avid supporter of all three kids and was highly involved in all their activities. She made a profession of faith as a child and was baptized in Holbrook, Arizona at the age of nine. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bellevue. Lynette was proceeded in death by her dad, Gene Foster Cassetty, grandparents Rue and Mary Lou Wells, grandparents Leon and Mildred Cassetty, and Father and Mother-in-Law Bobby Erwin, Sr. and Dorothy Erwin.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Gene Erwin, Jr. of Corinth, Texas; son, Cooper Gene Erwin of Denton, Texas; daughter, Blakelyn Cassetty Erwin; and son, Easton Terry Erwin. She is also survived by her mom, Rita Jean Cassetty of Bellevue; brother, Bryon Cassetty and wife Michelle of Bellevue, Texas; Brother-in-law, Randy Jones and wife Darla of Aubrey; Sister-in-law, Gwen Weaver of Burneyville, OK; Sister-in-law, Cindy Stroope and Burneyville, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Bellevue Cemetery Association, at 846 FM 1288 N. Bellevue, TX 76228.

I was fortunate Nate to meet Lynette at Recaro. He love for her children was paramount in her life, and you could tell with the many stories of coop in his journey in his career, Blaklyn and her softbal and Easton being her shining light. She will be missed but will never be forgotten. May god give you all comfort during this trying period .

I'm very sorry for your loss. Lynette was a very friendly and loving soul. There will never be another like Lynette. She treated everyone at Recaro as family no matter what you struggled with. She was someone you could confide in and tell everything you were going through. She was so many people rock at work. That's so hard to find nowadays.
