Obituary For Robert Charles Dyer
Robert “Bob” Charles Dyer, 89, of Bellevue, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021 in Richardson, TX, after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13th, at the First Baptist Church of Bowie, with Pastor Mike Henson officiating.
Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 12th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Robert was born February 6, 1932 in Byers, TX to Robert Reid Dyer and Anna Mabel Smith Dyer. Bob attended public schools in Byers and Bellevue, and graduated from Bellevue High School in May of 1949. He then went to work for Magnolia Petroleum Company in Dallas, TX.
Bob married Frances Janelle Flinn on December 15, 1950 in Bellevue, and the couple made their home in Garland, TX. To this union was born 4 children, Don, David, Diane, and Dana, and in addition, they raised 2 foster children, Mark and Dani Davis.
In July 1975 they transferred to Midland, TX and resided there until retirement in February 1992, after 42 years with Mobil Oil Corporation. They moved back to Bellevue and began ranching. Frances preceded Bob in death on July 16, 2020, they were married for 69 years and 7 months.
Bob is survived by his sons, Don Dyer and wife Jill of Lake Jackson, TX and David Dyer and wife Kathy of Bowie; daughters Diane Perkins and husband Larry of Rowlett, TX and Dana Parsons and husband Rick of Winter Garden, FL; foster children Mark Davis of Bowie, TX and Dani Davis Pernula of Midland, TX; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dyer graduated with Freankie's brother, Lester Allen. During the recent years we visited at the school reunion each June and other community activies. He served on the Board of the Bellevue Cemetery. Mr. Bob was always friendly and exhibited much care for his community. He will be missed.
