Obituary For Roger Allen Hamilton

Roger Allen Hamilton, 76, of Bowie, TX, passed away on Friday, February 13th, 2026.

A Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, with Rex Hamilton officiating.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, February 16th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Roger was born on July 4, 1949, to Edna and Cotton Hamilton. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1967. Roger married the love of his life Annitta Adair July 31, 1970, at the Newport Church of Christ. He worked as the manager of the Water and Wastewater Department for the City of Bowie for 18 years, and later owned and operated Hamilton Pest Control for 20 years. Roger was a member of the Carter Lake Road Church of Christ in Bowie. His favorite hobbies were shooting and collecting guns, but above all he loved his family. He will be remembered as a devoted Son, Husband, Father, and Pappy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Olan and Randall Hamilton; and sister, Lawana Cannedy.

Roger is survived by his wife Annitta Hamilton of Bowie; sons, Jesse Hamilton and wife Jessica of Bowie, Jaime Hamilton and wife Tammy of Bowie, and Kyle Hamilton of Abilene, TX; brothers, Ross Hamilton and wife Cindy of Bowie, Rex Hamilton and wife Carla of Bowie; sister, Lacresia Gregory and husband Gary of Bowie; brother-in-law, Bill Adair and wife Cindy of Graham, TX; as well as, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews, who will all miss him very much.
