Steven Douglas Drury
February 9, 1968 – July 4, 2026
Steven Douglas Drury passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2026, in Bowie, Texas.
Steve was a husband, father, grandfather, entrepreneur, and a man who never met a stranger. He had an undeniable charm and a rare ability to talk to anyone about just about anything. Whether it was a longtime friend, a customer, or someone he had only just met, Steve had a way of making people feel like they had known him forever. He was so easy to be around.
Above everything else, Steve loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Christina Drury; his four children, Sydney, Ben, Bailey and Josie; and his six grandchildren: Jasper, Ellie, Oliver, Arlo, Oakley and Isla, who knew and loved him simply as “Pops.” He is also survived by his parents, Don and Lois Drury, and his brothers, David, Danny, and Christopher. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Biskit, who was rarely far from his side.
He was proud of the life and business he built. Through years of hard work, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Steve created his business Drill Rig Depot—an accomplishment that reflected so much of who he was.
Steve was happiest by the lake, especially at sunrise or sunset. He loved football, was a devoted LSU Tigers fan, and could always be counted on to bring his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and unmistakable charm wherever he went.
Steve will be deeply missed by his family and by the many people whose lives he touched. His stories, his humor, and the way he could fill a room will not soon be forgotten.
A private celebration of life will be held for family on Friday, July 10th, 2026.
Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, Texas.

My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Although I knew him only as an acquaintance through our profession, he was the kind of person who made you feel as though he had known you his entire life. He was incredibly kind, charming, and genuine, a truly good soul whose warmth could be felt by everyone around him.
He left a lasting impression on me, and I feel fortunate to have known him. May your family find comfort in knowing how positively he touched the lives of others. He will be remembered with great respect and fondness.
We are deeply saddened by Steve's passing...way too soon to lose such a good guy. He had such a positive and uplifting effect on everyone at Watson and just made things more fun.
You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Doug Watson
Truly sorry for your loss. It was always a pleasure working with Steve.
Truly Sorry For your Loss it was always a pleasure working with Steve
It's hard to put into words how much Steve will be missed, I met Steve 14 years ago in Bonita Springs, FL and we instantly became friends. Steve was always quick with a smile, always encouraging, and always willing to help. He had a way of making people feel valued, and that's something I'll never forget. I'm grateful to have known him and to have called him a friend. Praying for peace, comfort, and strength for his family in the days ahead.
To The Family of Steve, I've had the pleasure of working with Steve for many years in the drilling industry. Steve was always such a pleasure to work with & do business with. It was more than just business it was a friendship. I am just in shock & heartbroken over Steve's sudden passing. It says in the Bible "Bless those who mourn for they will be comforted." As Christians we know that one day we will see Steve again & never be separated again. Please know that me & my family are Praying for y'all at this most difficult time for comfort & peace. May God Bless you all & be with you in the days to come. In Christ's love Cliff, Kristin & Kylie Witt
I had the pleasure to both associate and work with Steve for over 30 years. His inviting smile, generosity and gracious attitude were his trademarks of success and often the most likable guy in a crowd. He will be missed greatly. Wishing the very best to the family as they go through this loss of a husband, father, son and a amazingly great man.
We are so sorry for your loss Don and Lois! Praying for your comfort!
