Obituary For Terry Lee Boaz

Terry Lee Boaz, 78, of Montague, TX, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Family chose cremation with a memorial service later at Faith Baptist Church in Bowie, TX with Gene Young officiating.

Terry was born April 3, 1947, to James Edgar and Dorathy Louise Boothe Boaz in Merkel TX. He lived and graduated high school from Anson, TX and went on to complete 4 years of college. Terry married Debra Echols Snider May 26, 1994 at the home of Sue McLendon with Roger Bishop officiating the Blessed union. Terry was a rancher for many years and then a truck driver for 20+ years. He enjoyed roping, hunting, and racing his 1978 blue Chevy Nova. He made friends everywhere he went in whatever endeavor he was doing. He could carry a conversation with anyone and had his "list" of people he checked on most every day. He was a faithful member and trustee of Faith Baptist Church in Bowie, TX. He dearly loved his wife and the name PaPa when the grandkids talked to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Richard Boaz.

Terry is survived by his wife, Debbie Boaz, step son, James (JJ) Snider and wife Ashley of Sunset, TX, grandchildren, Wyatt, Reese, Josie, Clara, Mamie, and DeeDee. Gary Crabtree, wife Jana, and family. Sister-in-law, Sue McLendon, (David Farley), Carolyn Godwin, (Andy). Cousins Jan Basham, (Gary), Sylvia, Eugene Boaz, (Joyce), Sara Guernsey, (Charlie), and like a brother, cousin, Joe Edd Boaz, (Rhonda). Also, many, many friends who will all miss him and his orneriness.
