Obituary For Thomas Michael Boehmer

Thomas Michael Boehmer, 82 of Bowie, TX, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 26th, 2024.

Memorial Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 30th, at St. John the Baptizer in Bridgeport, TX.

Thomas was born June 19, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to Jerome Frank and Helen (Hilger) Boehmer. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor's of Science. As a young man he served his country the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963. On November 21, 1964,Thomas married Gayle Lueke in Louisville, KY, together they had two boys, Jerome Paul and David Thomas.

Thomas had a lifelong career as an Industrial Engineer with Delco Moraine Div. Of GMC and retired from Air Flow Systems in 2002. In his free time Thomas enjoyed hunting and coin collecting. He was a devoted husband and father, and a longtime member of the Catholic Church. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Ann Hardy.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Gayle L. Boehmer of Bowie; sons, Jerome Paul Boehmer and husband Offir Dallal of Los Angeles, CA and David Thomas Boehmer and wife Sherry of Waxahachie, TX; grandchildren, Ethan Q. Boehmer, Ella Jean Boehmer-Dallal and Aura Lee Boehmer-Dallal; sister, Arlene Shea and husband Jack of Denton, TX; and brother-in-law Keith Hardy of England.
