Obituary For Tommy Dooley
Tommy Dooley 91, of Bowie, TX passed away Saturday, June 27th, 2026, in Bridgeport, TX.
Graveside services with military honors will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2nd, at Newport Cemetery in Newport, TX with Kevin Mayfield officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1st at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Tom was born November 1, 1934, to John and Olia Mae Dooley. On June 25, 1977, he married Cynthia Dooley in Saginaw, TX. The couple were happily married for 47 years, until her passing in 2022. As a young man, Tom served his country in the United States Air Force. He then went to work as a bonder for Bell Helicopter for 38 years, until his retirement. Tom was an avid reader, enjoyed ranching, and loved to travel.
He is preceded in death by his wife Cynthia, and his daughter, Cynthia Carol Rhyne.
Tom is survived by his sons, Wade Mathews of Alvord and John Mathews of Bowie; daughters, Cathy Mathews of Archer City and Debby Humpert of Windthorst; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Such and honor being Tom's neighbor the last 5 years. He was so sweet to our family, and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning chats through the fence. He would check on his cows while we cared for our alpacas, and we'd always catch up. He was the sweetest neighbor, and we know he is greatly missed by all. Sending our love and prayers to all the family.
