Virginia Ann Lynch, of Forestburg, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 87 years young, following a brief illness.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at the Forestburg Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 8th, with funeral services directly following at the church, with Pastor Greg Parr officiating.
Burial will follow at New Harp Cemetery in Forestburg, Texas.
Virginia was born on November 23, 1938, in Forestburg, Texas, to Merle and Clifford Hudspeth. She attended Forestburg High School, where she developed lifelong friendships and a deep love for her community.
Virginia married the love of her life, Doyle Lynch, and together they shared more than 69 wonderful years of marriage while raising their two daughters. She worked for Russell-Newman until the company closed, after which she devoted herself to working alongside Doyle on their family farm and ranch.
A faithful member of the Forestburg United Methodist Church, Virginia was actively involved in her church and community throughout her life. She shared her beautiful voice by singing at weddings, school functions, and church services. She took great pride in her home and found joy in caring for her yard and flowers. Known for her generous heart, Virginia was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was happiest when preparing meals for family gatherings, church events, and community occasions.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Glen and Imogene Lynch; and her brother-in-law, Gordy Lynch.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Doyle Lynch; her daughters, Rayanne McAfee and husband, Chip, and Lecia Pritchett; her grandsons, Jay Pickens and wife Kelsey, Billy Mayo, Walker Mayo and wife Makayla, Hunter Pritchett, and Trevor Pritchett; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Maizie Pickens, Jax Pickens, and Coulter Mayo; siblings, Carolyn Wood and husband Raymond, Margaret O’Brien and husband Gerald, Dale Hudspeth and wife Linda and Paula Sims and husband Charles. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Virginia’s memory to the Forestburg Methodist Church, the Forestburg Volunteer Fire Department, and the New Harp Cemetery.
