Wilma Patterson Cook Ford, 92 of Bowie, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Plano, TX. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26th, at the First Baptist Church in Bowie, with Pastor Mike Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, TX. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 25th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie. Wilma was born May 12, 1928 in Nocona, TX to Elbert and Mildred (Powell) Patterson. On August 13, 1946, she was united in marriage to EM “Cotton” Cook. Wilma later married Charles Ford on February 2, 1977, together they owned and operated Walkers Variety Store and Russell's Department Store in Bowie. Wilma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie for over 60 years. She was loved by anyone who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents EW and Mildred Patterson, husband EM “Cotton” Cook, husband Charles Ford, son Charles F. Ford, daughter-in-law Beverly Ford, brother Wyndal Patterson and sister-in-law Vivian Patterson. Wilma is survived by her children Phyllis Maddux and husband Donald of Chico, TX and Bobby Ford of Corsicana, TX; daughter-in-law Patsy Ford of Decatur, TX; sister Janice Pieroni of St. Augustine, FL; sister-in-law Altonette Wood of Brownsville, TX; grandchildren Mike and Julie Maddux of Chico, Cindy and Chad Sheddy of Argyle, TX, Rusty and Johna Ford of Paradise, TX and Chrystal and Ron Holson of Sundown, TX, Michelle and Jay Cokee of Corsicana, Glenn and Grace Ford of Corsicana, and James Ford of Austin, TX; great-grandchildren Meredith and Aaron Highsmith of Amarillo, TX, Shane Maddux of Weatherford, TX, Allison Maddux of Chico, Brayden Ford of Paradise, Addyson Ford of Paradise, Caycee Holson of Sundown, Carson Holson of Sundown, Samantha Ford of Corsicana, and Skyler Ford of Austin; great-great-grandchildren Eili, Emelia and Callum Highsmith of Amarillo.
