I just learned of Curley's passing. I visited her in 2026 and we had a great visit talking our days working in the Financial Aid Office at Georgia Tech. She was my supervisor and was very supportive. My Condolences to her family and friends.
My condolences to the Williams family and all of Curley's friends. Curley made such a difference in my life, helping me get through Georgia Tech. She was kind, empathetic, and treated me with such respect and dignity that I had never seen as a 18/19 yo. Through my adult life, I never forgot Curley or her personal warmth and compassion. RIP Curley.
Rest well in paradise cousin. Your bright smile and personality sure will be missed. So glad we had the opportunity to laugh and spend time with you at Pumpkin's wedding. Until we meet again. Love cousin Donna and Florence
Curley & I communicated frequently, I had sent her text messages for, the past two months. I never received a response, nothing happened so I sent her several other texts to she & Mom no answer. I became concerned this is highly unusual. Praying & asking the Lord is their something wrong. For whatever reason a flash was bestowed upon my vision, made a few calls locally questioning news regarding Curley, but never gained any answer. Eunice Harvey a long dear friend called & I was deeply saddened. Mom I will continue to Lift you in prayer, you have my deepest sympathy. God needed another Good Soldier & now She is in the Heavenly Midst of God Almighty. May the Lord have mercy on her soul & she is at peace, God bless the family, I will miss her.
Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. My condolences to Ms Oris and family. Love, Tajada
Our heartfelt condolences to the Williams Family. We have so many memories that will be forever cherished. Most of all we will never forget Curley's beautiful smile that will light up heaven. RIP until we meet again. WE love you, Tonya, Venus,Curtis and the Conte Family
Curley was simply beautiful in body, mind, and spirit! She was the daughter of Oris who was my sister sally's best friend. She was the spokesperson foe Sally when Corliss was brutally murdered. Curley will be missed. However, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".
No words can express the loss and heartfelt sorrow of our lifelong friend, sister, mentor, church member and just plain family. All of us are going to miss your lovely personality, sweet sprit, and smile. Rest in Perfect Peace until we meet again. From the Robinson family, Our Mom, Emma Lee, Gary, Vickie, Randy, and Dawn
To the Williams Family, I express my deepest sympathy to the family and I pray that God will strengthen each of you beyond this day. I must say Curly always had a very sweet personality and she was just like a big sister to me. You will be missed and I will make sure Twyla stay in line. Rest In Heaven. Love, Jackie C. Edwards
I have been thinking of the days that I gave Curley Williams, Shirley Archie Harris, and Archeadene Grace Marshall a ride in my 1964 Comet to continue our education at Albany State College (University). I also remember when Curley, Archeadene, and Ernestine Scott Beal and I left Albany, Ga. on an Eastern Airlines Jet, heading North in June, 1969. This was our first time flying. Curley and Ernestine went to Detroit, Archeadene went to New York, and I went to Philadelphia. We found jobs and worked until it was time to return to Albany State for the Fall Quarter. We all graduated in 1971, and remained friends. To God Be The Glory. I will cherish these memories. Martistene Williams
RIP Curley! Your BFF, Archie Marshall
My heart is heavy because my BFF, is no longer with us. Curley and I have been friends since we were in 2nd grade. I have so many fond memories of Curley and I over these past 60 plus years. These last nine years, however, we became even closer, as she dealt with her multiple myeloma disease. Even though her life changed, she never once complained. Our last conversation, was for me not to worry because she would be alright. I was not ready for her departure but God decided it was your time. I will miss you dearly but I know now "you are truly alright". I pray that God will give Ms. Oris and the rest of your family comfort as we grieve your passing. Rest In Peace, Curley! Love you always, my sister, my friend
Aunt Curley, I have always been amazed by the strength you have shown while battling your health issues. You had such a wonderful spirit. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to my mom. May you rest in peace. Love you always and forever, Mel
Curley and I communicated regularly for the past six months. She was very supportive during my challenging recovery from Covid-19. I was equally as supportive during her health challenges. Her mother has also been very supportive, and for that I am most grateful. Our friend, Archie made sure that Curley and I were able to communicate as we both dealt with health issues. Thank you for that, Archie. My prayers go out to "Miss" Oris and the entire family. We loved Curley, and miss her already. See you in heaven, my sweet friend. Love, Martistene Williams
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
