She was a sister to me even though I was older she always was so much wiser. Jamida and kept the fire of the legacy of her dedicated family running through to all of us. Her work in voter registration made sense when one knows from whence she came. Working to ensure poor people had representation in the courts was ensuring. Gathering people together for the march was hard work and that she never shrunk from. Trying to live up to the legacy is a heavy burden and the family of Hosea Williams sends light and love and prayers up for the remaining members. Her shoes will be hard to fill. It will take all of us to take up her dreams and her love for the people.
A Great Leader
Me and my Family will miss you. Peace and Blessings

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Cleo Orange, Deidre and Family. Jamida was such a bright light, a quick wit and big personality that filled the room. What a joy for me personally to have spent years working with her at the Fulton County Probate Court. While i know how much she loved her family, she also loved her community. We last hugged and greeted each other along with Ms. Cleo at City Hall headed into a zoning board hearing. I hope you are comforted in knowing how much she meant to so many of us. Judge Pinkie Toomer (Ret.)
