The world has lost a treasured artist friend. He leaves a unique void in the lives of many. Our brother, Louis Delsarte, has gone on to his new life with no more worries, no more fears and no more pain. God, Our Master Creator and Consummate Artist, has deemed "Delsarte" as having completed his purpose here on Earth. He brought joy to so many of us through his art. A more humble and appreciative artist I dare you to find. My dearest Jea and Rachel- Words can't express my sympathy for your loss.May your many loving memories sustain you and may you be comforted in knowing that...He will never be forgotten. G.M.
We are so much affected when we heard of the death of your loved one.
Please accept our condolences. Going through something took a toll on my heart for the rest of my life. However, there is comfort that I gained from looking into the words of comfort that our creator Jehovah God provides in his word the Bible. I will share a few things with you. The listed scriptures give us insight as to what will happen in the near future. There are many more that explain why we die and what hope we have in the future. Revelation 21:3-4; Isaiah 65:17 and John 5:29.

So sorry for all of our loses with the transitioning of our dear friend and artist Louis Delsarte. Jea, you and Rachel know how much I love your family.
I always choose to remember and celebrate the special moments of fun we shared. One of those occasions was when the Delsarte family and me drove to New Orleans for the Essence Festival. We partied so hard over the weekend that the only one capable of driving us back to Atlanta was Louis. We got on the road really late and our role was to keep Louis awake while he complained about getting stuck with driving. He complained like only Louis could do.
Rest In Peace my friend. May you continue to paint amazing murals of love and beauty.

It was an honor working with Louis on the cities MLK Jr Mural project highlighting MLK's life. Had our path's not crossed serendipitously, I would have missed out on the opportunity to mingle with a kind and gentle soul. The project, what MLK Jr's teachings meant to him and to humanity, was one he cared deeply about. He was filled with pride that he was selected for the project. As we spent our afternoons and evenings painting on the 26, 5x10 panels, we discussed many topics and met so many artist's wanting to participate in this exciting endeavor. I was the one in awe of his talents and techniques that he shared with me. From our shared experiences and working together, I became a better painter, photographer, friend and person. I will miss our extended conversations during and after the project finished. He was a good friend and is already missed. My condolences to Jea and Rachael for your loss.
Please accept my deepest condolences. Louis was the childhood friend of my twin brothers. Eva , his sister, was my best childhood friend. Louis went to my mother's preschool where she told his mother Llewelyn that this sweet little 3 years old showed amazing art talent! I reconnected with next door President Street neighbor many years later when he orchestrated the MLK mural in Atlanta . He was still the sweet, kind, and gentle person. May his memories be a blessing66
Louis was always a loving, protective father. When Rachel was still her riding in a carseat, one Sunday following worship, (Jea was fulfilling her pharmacist duties at CVS) Louis and I decided to take our daughters Rachel & Shelby out to lunch. Since my daughter was also still riding in a carseat, I took Rachel's carseat and strapped her in the backseat of my vehicle next to her buddy. Louis true to form had to inspect my installation of Rachel's car seat . We then proceed to the resturant with Louis following me. Louis trailed behind me driving about 10 miles below the speed limit to ensure I drove extra slow. When I realized what he was doing I left him in the dust .
I know Louis is now watching over Rachel & Jea from his Heavenly Haven. Felecia Whalen
To the Delsarte Family: Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Hold tight to those memories...Lean on each other for support...And trust in Jehovah God for the strength needed to endure. Psalm 46:1 assures us "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." My condolences, S. Acker.
