My prayers are with Nikita's family. I met Nikita upon our arrival at Talladega College in the Fall of 1978 and was happy to meet someone else from Atlanta, GA. Nikita and I were Line Sisters, she was Number 1 and I was Number 3. Nikita was very smart. She and I both were Chemistry majors at Talladega College and Atlanta University. Nikita was a sweet and beautiful person. Her co-workers at FDA loved her, and many of us had a daily morning dialogue with her concerning family, world affairs, and the going's on within the agency before we started our day. We celebrated with her when she retired in 2020, and although we are shocked and saddened by her untimely passing, we celebrate today the life and legacy she leaves with all us. Nikita was a beautiful lady. Her presence was always one of peace and calm. I admired her attentiveness when engaged in a conversation and her wonderful laughter. Nikita did not try to impress others. She based her decisions and actions on what she knew to be right. "Right" was based on her knowledge of the Bible.
