Tim was a good person he was always happy.I first meet him as a APD office in 1983 Tim and I became friends. I meet his Grandmother who they call Ma dear. Omg she the sweetest person. She and I became very close which is what I needed she kept us both grounded. She was a minister and she was child of God. Tim played at Mt.Calvary Baptist Church for several years. Tim love the lord. He had a great sense of humor. He always made me laugh and would always tell me everything going to be alright. My prayers to the family. I am sure Tim and Ma Dear is rocking the house of the Lord. Rest in peace.

My Big Brother is what I called him. Gurley has always been there for me and my family. Anytime I had to sing Gurley would follow me, even if I didn't ask him. I had the opportunity of knowing his double (Jimmy) as well. And the two of them together, I would be in tears laughing. Pam would always be with him whenever, wherever and Gurley didn't have too. But he wouldn't have it no other way. From the Atlanta Police Department Metropolitan Law Enforcement Choir, to the Honor Guard from APD; to Fulton County Sheriff's Office. We bonded.
You were calling me Major, long before I received it. Rest Well my Big Brother
Love Dixon (Major)
Praying for the Gurley family during this difficult time. May the memories you hold dear bring a smile to your heart at the times when you need it most.

God blessed the life of Tim. I knew him as an APD officer a FCSO Deputy and a musician at Mt.Calvary Baptist Church for several years. Tim was a very talented officer and musician. He was the musician at many fellow officers funerals. We will miss Tim but we know without a doubt that he loved God and his family and always had a great sense of humor. My prayers to the family, God has called a soldier of the cross to his reward. D. Redwine
