It was a pleasure to have known you Val. All the retreats held to bring us closer to God and each other was time will spent. Your death has been a shock, but knowing whose you are and who you were, has lighten the sadden. Sleep in peace my friend.

To my cousins, it was a shock to hear of Vals passing. But we know that God's will must always be done in our lives.

I Pray, that as you go through this time of separation, that Gods Love, Peace, Grace and Mercy will be your strength.

God Bless and keep you all at this time, Love Ya. Wendell Goudell Dean II

Truly Val will be missed by many. Anyone that knew her loved her because she was so lovable!!!

I was fortunate to call her friend and then sister because that's what she became to me. My life will forever have a void in it now because she's not here physically. But I will forever cherish each memory of her in my heart!!!

I love you Val!!! Rest Well!!! Until we see each other again!!!

I am a better person for having known Val. She had the biggest heart that I have ever seen. She worked tirelessly to support her family and never complained. One thing that sticks to mind is her unwavering faith and devotion to God. A real life angel. May you rest in peace and be joined by your loved ones in your heavenly home. I pray for comfort for your family. While there may be tears now, your memories will put smiles on all faces that truly knew you. Val you will be truly missed. Love you! Corey J

Wow! I still can't believe you are gone. I remember when I first came to Atlanta to school (Clark Atlanta) you were one of the first set of Bahamians I met. You were so kind-hearted and funny and you showed me the "ropes". We spent lots of fun times together and I will forever hold onto your memories. Take your rest Val! -Yvette

Val you always was a beam of light while at Clark Atlanta University. It was refreshing to meet a fellow Bahamian abroad who was positive and always had a sincere smile. Continue to rest in the hands of The Master and wear your promised crown. - Shavon

I will always remember the day I met you. You were so gracious to let a stranger into your home on my very first visit to Atlanta with your niece Nicarra. My daughter Charnell was shopping for her wedding dress and you ensured that she had the best possible selection at her disposal. Soon after I met you we were like family and that was truly cemented when on my second visit you pick up both my husband and I , as you took us to all the best shopping areas and give us a tour of Atlanta. We will always remember the kindness you had demonstrated towards us. We have never forgotten you and always asked Nicarra after you're health and to send you hello. Rest from your labour as you receive your awards from your Heavenly Father. Our sincerest condolences to Auntie Val family. May her soul Rest In Peace ❤️ Bishop Eric Josey and Family

Val, you were a beautiful person! I knew you for as long as I knew your dear sister Christine; we were all teenagers together. Christine and I were close but you two were inseparable, just like twins. Your sisterly love was such an amazing love. Even when you decided to move to Atlanta, Christine was always with you either in presence or in spirit. You were the second mom to her children, and I know that they all loved you dearly. Val you always demonstrated God's love in your life and I know that you loved God and that God loved you and will continue to love you. Rest in peace beautiful lady, beautiful spirit of God.

I will always remember Val's kindness and glowing smile. It was a pleasure to work with her. Always in a good mood, positive and very professional. She was both a valued colleague and a friend. Brick

Val was always a bright and happy presence in our office, friendly and generous of spirit. She spoke to and seemed to know everyone, she never met a stranger. So many memories of Val, but one that stands out to me now is how she used to celebrate her mother's birthday each year by putting her mother's picture on the table and sharing a meal. They will be able to celebrate birthdays together now. -- Teresa Goss

Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
