MR. ALBERT DAVID “AD” ELLISON – Age 89, of Hampton, GA, born on October 21, 1935, to the late Willie Glenn Allison and Sammie Laura Cameron Allison. peacefully departed this life on February 14, 2025.
After High School, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was member of St. James Overcoming Church of God. He was predeceased by his son Albert David Ellison Jr.
Known as “AD” to family and friends, Albert worked for many years at Shaw Industries. He also worked for Miller Brothers Rib Shack and was last employed by Dalton Daily Citizen Newspaper.
Albert was a very private person who found joy in working, helping others, visiting the senior center, playing bingo,
listening to music, attending church, attending baseball games, taking walks around the neighborhood and playing the lottery.
He will be deeply missed by his children: He is survived by his daughter, Arnita Evans; son, Rodrick (Katie) Ellison; sisters, Lucille Curry and JoAnn (Robert) Perkins; special niece, Shellen A. Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eugene Miller, words of comfort and Bishop N. P. Starling, officiating. His remains will lie in state on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Interment; West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
