MR. ALBERT EUGENE MORTON, SR. ?Çô AGE 48, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was a U. S. navy Veteran and a member of Greater St. James Overcoming Church Of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Robert Samuel Morton, Sr., mother, Mrs. Barbara Jean Shoemaker Jordan, two brothers, Mr. Sterling Morton, Mr. Julius Morton, and one sister, Mrs. Deborah Smith.Survivors are his loving family, wife, Mrs. Lucinda M. Morton of Dalton, Georgia; two daughters, Ms. Charess Morton, Ms. Tavisha Morton; three sons, Mr. Albert Morton, Jr., Mr. Jermel Morton of Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Kedrick Jordan of LaFayette, Georgia; stepdaughter, Ms. Nicole (Jonathan) Sloan of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two stepsons, Mr. Alex (Shon) Massingill of Rocky Face, Georgia, Mr. Dakotah Massingill of Dalton; four grandchildren, Mr. Corbin Sloan, Mr. Hayden Massingill, Mr. Michael Burkhardt and Mr. Kenny Burkhardt of Rocky Face, Georgia; step-mother, Mrs. Gladys Jordan of Rome, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Robert Morton, Jr. of LaFayette; four sisters, Ms. Barbara Brown of LaFayette, Mrs. Sherry (Kristen) Tolliver of Chatsworth, Georgia, Ms. Cassandra Jordan of Dalton, Mrs. Cathleen (Jackie) Reeves of LaFayette; special cousin, Mr. Timmy (?Ç£Timbo?ÇØ) Jordan of LaFayette; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Massingill of Dalton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives, and friends.Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Greater St. James Overcoming Church of God with Bishop Nicky Starling and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 a. m.
