MR. ALFRED DERWIN “FRED” JOHNSON – Age 61 of Dalton, GA passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020. He attended both Mt. Ridge Baptist Church and Community Fellowship Church. He was an avid fisherman, Dallas Cowboys fan, and Los Angeles Lakers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Johnson; stepson, Justis Hakeem Washington; mother-in-law, Teresa (Ronnie Neal) Newkirk; brother-in-law, Brandon Bonds; sisters-in-law, Tomara Mitchell, Robin Washington, and Nancy Washington; nieces, Shai Harris, Serenitee Harris, Sacai Wade, and Skye Harris; nephew, Jerimie Jaxon Wade; godmother, Julie Dyer; a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Thomas as Eulogist, Dr. Stephen Thomas, Overseer. He will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

I knew Fred and his wife Kim . I met them staying in Stone Ridge . Fred had a sprit the would light up a room . Him a Kim were a funny couple . They always knew how to have fun and great people to be around . Every time I would see him no matter if he wasn't feeling well he would always have a big smile. He will truly be missed he was a good friend and always a wise man . Rest easy Fred .
