MRS. BARBARA JEAN STARLING COBB FIELDS – Age 84, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a retired L.P.N. Nurse at Hamilton Medical Center for over 23 years.
She was preceded by her husbands, Oliver “Sonny” Cobb, Sr. and William Henry “Bill” Fields, parents, Prince and Jessie Dillard Starling, siblings, Clifford Burse, Parza Burse, Flossie Taylor, Trammel Starling, and Letha Starling.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacie (Levi) Kilgore; sons, Oliver (Anita) Cobb, Jr., Kerry Cobb, Prince (Caron) Cobb, Patrick Fields all of Dalton, GA, and Keith Fields of Houston, TX; brother, Charles (Arvella) Starling of Tunnel Hill, GA; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; friends, and other relatives.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 11:30 A.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 900 Roan St. Dalton, GA 30721, with Elder Wendell Smith, Eulogist and Pastor Kenneth Scaife and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment: West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
