Obituary For Barbara Jean Starling Cobb Fields

MRS. BARBARA JEAN STARLING COBB FIELDS – Age 84, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a retired L.P.N. Nurse at Hamilton Medical Center for over 23 years.

She was preceded by her husbands, Oliver “Sonny” Cobb, Sr. and William Henry “Bill” Fields, parents, Prince and Jessie Dillard Starling, siblings, Clifford Burse, Parza Burse, Flossie Taylor, Trammel Starling, and Letha Starling.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacie (Levi) Kilgore; sons, Oliver (Anita) Cobb, Jr., Kerry Cobb, Prince (Caron) Cobb, Patrick Fields all of Dalton, GA, and Keith Fields of Houston, TX; brother, Charles (Arvella) Starling of Tunnel Hill, GA; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; friends, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 11:30 A.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 900 Roan St. Dalton, GA 30721, with Elder Wendell Smith, Eulogist and Pastor Kenneth Scaife and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment: West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

When I've come to the end of my journey give til the battle or victory is won Misunderstood a world of lost sinner it's your Father up in heaven not my will but THINE be done The days of man is three score and ten if by reason of strength four score years Ms Barbara got all GOD promised and then some GOD promised length of days if we honor our Mother and Father She had length of days so draw your own conclusion Fear GOD keep HIS commandments for this is the whole duty of man(woman) She fulfilled her duty and has gone on to be with the Lord Today is not good bye just until we meet again I pass GOD'S peace to all of you and pray that HE continue to rain down peace upon you and dry your tear stained eyes Marvin L Henderson Kent Ohio
