Obituary For Bernice P. Gardenhire

MRS. BERNICE P. (“MS. HI-FI”) GARDENHIRE – Age 80 of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Avondale. She is survived by her daughters, Bonita Stoudemire, Quintina Payne, Lakeshia (Willie) Burage-Curry; adopted daughters, Gwenda Rakestraw, Ira Jean Littles, and Britney Moore; grandchildren, Tillecia (Wilbert) McClure of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Vanessa (Tash) Bowden of San Antonio, Texas, K. LeBron Stoudemire, DaVida Stoudemire, Attache’ Payne, and Tinea Payne of Chattanooga; a host of great grandchildren; sister, Winifred Slay; brothers, Franklin Battle, and Troy (Brenda) Battle; dear friend, Flora Strickland, of Chattanooga; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Graveside Service and Interment will be on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Forest Hills Cemetery at 11:00 A. M. with Dr. Willie Paul and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at New Hope Baptist Church at 3777 Wilcox Blvd., Chattanooga, 37411, on Monday from 1:00 – 8:00 P. M.
