MRS. BETTY JEAN LANGSTON ADAMS – Age 81, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Adams, Sr., sons, Roy Adams, Charles Adams, and John Adams, daughter, Georgia Adams, five sisters, Myrtle Adams, Lillie Byrd, Pearl Hunt, Mildred Noble, and Gail Alexander, and seven brothers, James Langston, LeRoy Langston, Ed Langston, Andrew Langston, Robert Langston, Elonzo Langston, and Melvin Langston. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Jean (Robert) Porter; four sons, Samuel Wayne Adams, Joe M. (Linda) Adams, Jerry L. (Regina) Adams, Joseph L. Adams, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Betty Langston, Mary “Betty” Smith, Lula M. Wheeler, Bernice Langston, Emma Langston, Doris Langston, and Willie L. Adams; brothers-in-law, Charles Adams and Leroy Adams; nineteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, Ringgold, Georgia, with Rev. Jimmy Ingram, Rev. James Clark, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Interment, Ringgold Community Cemetery.
