Obituary For Betty June Prater Ellis
MRS. BETTY JUNE PRATER ELLIS – Age 91 of Cedartown, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Betty was born on March 26, 1935 in Piedmont, Alabama to the late Jesse Prater and Annie Mae Smith. She graduated from Cedar Hill High School. Betty was employed at 1st National Bank of Polk County. She attended Marietta Street United Methodist Church until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years the late Willie E. Ellis; two sisters, and six brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby “Joe” Ellis, Edward Ellis and Tracey (Ryan) Ellis; grandchildren, great grandchildren; brothers, Frankie Smith and Tommy Pope; nieces, nephews and special family, James and Elaine Brown; other extended family, friends, and her church family.
Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2:00 P. M. at Marietta Street United Methodist Church, 401 Robert L. Parks, Blvd., Cedartown, Georgia 30125 with Rev. Bobby Church as Eulogist. Interment, Polk Memory Gardens. Her remains will lie in state at the church beginning at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P. M. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
