Obituary For Charles Goodson

MR. CHARLES GOODSON - Age 77, of Rydal, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Mr. Goodson was born on December 21, 1948 to the late Willie Floyd Goodson and Octavia Minnie Lee Winters Goodson. He was preceded by his sisters, Kara Washington, Martha Goodson, Gracie Mae Goodson, Alean Smith; brothers, James Willie Goodson, and Bobby Lee Goodson. Charles attended Bartow County School, retired from Chemical Products, and after retirement he worked at the Taylor Family Farm. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Church in Fairmount, Georgia. He was well liked by his community and always had a loving compassionate heart to help anyone.

Survivors are his loving and devoted precious family, sisters, Magadalene McAfee, Cozzella Hyatt; brothers, Robert Goodson, Billy Joe (Felicia) Goodson; uncle, Bobby Winters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended relatives, friends, and his church family.

Viewing and Words of Comfort will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia 30721 with Pastor Rodney Weaver and other Ministers officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc. Dalton, Georgia.
