Obituary For Christine Hobbs "Tiny" Jordan

MRS. CHRISTINE “TINY” HOBBS JORDAN – Age 90, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025. She was born September 20, 1934 in Molena, GA to her late parents; father, Charlie Hobbs and mother, Bertha Bell Chambliss Hobbs. Christine was a devoted member of First Corinthians Baptist Church of Chattanooga, TN then later moved her membership to Breaking The Chains Ministries, Louisville, KY. Christine was also actively involved at Second St. James Missionary Baptist, Chattanooga, TN until her health declined. Over the years Christine was a loyal employee of Rivermont Elementary School, Erlanger Hospital, and retired from Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institution. Christine’s hobbies included anything to do with cooking and barbequing for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Bell Trice, Mary Lynn Willis, and Rebecca Trice; brothers, Alton Hobbs, Charlie Floyd Hobbs, T. C. Hobbs, Walter Hobbs, and Robert L. Hobbs.

Christine is survived by her loving daughters, Brenda Parks and Dorothy (Rev. Freddie) Hanner all of Chattanooga, TN; sister-in-law, Minnie Hobbs of Columbus, GA; beloved niece, Rebecca Frazier of Jesup, GA; other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be Friday, April 11, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Second St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 W. 45th St, Chattanooga, TN 37409. The family will receive extended family and friends on Friday at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. Interment; Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
