Obituary For Curlee Sarah Womble Holmes
MRS. CURLEE SARAH WOMBLE HOLMES - Age 83, of LaFayette, Georgia transitioned to her Heavenly home Saturday, December 2, 2023. She was born January 19, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Holmes, parents, Rev. Robert Womble, Sr. and Julia Mae Manning Womble Stalling, brothers, Nate Womble, Thomas Womble, Robert Womble, Jr., Rev. Dr. Willie J. Womble, George Ralph Stalling, and sisters, Louise Womble, and Joyce Jones.
Survivors are her loving son, Donnie Maurice Womble of Salt Lake City, Utah; five grandchildren, Maurice Womble, II, Martin K. Womble, Michael Rapheal Womble, Carissa Womble, Denise Dunlap; seven great grandchildren, fifteen great great grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Mae Buchanan of Nashville, TN, Elizabeth Nelson of Chattanooga, TN., Nylia Swint, Barbara Ann Brown of LaFayette, GA, Kathleen Bailey of Rossville, GA, and Geneva Faye Davis of Chattanooga; brother, Nathaniel (Ruby) Womble of Atlanta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Arthaniel Womble as Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes before the service. Interment, Naomi Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
