DEACON GENE ARLETTE SUTTLES – AGE 81, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019. He was born November 14, 1938 in LaFayette, Georgia to his late parents Robert Paul and Hazel Clements Suttles. Also preceding him was his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara Jean Suttles, brothers, Robert Carl and Paul Suttles, and sister, Patricia Ann Brabson.
Survivors are his daughter, Marissa J. Suttles (Bernard T.) Ellis of Atlanta, Georgia; grandson, Noah Ellis; sister, Margaret S. (Jimmy) Blalock ; brothers, Reuben (Ann) Suttles, James LeBron (Deloise) Suttles, Dony (Mary) Suttles; aunt, Eunice Rooks of Chattanooga, TN; sisters-in-law, Judy Suttles and Eddie Mae (Horace) Moore; brother-in-law, George (Alicia) Ramsey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives .
Home Going Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church, 1401 M. L. King, Jr. Blvd. Dalton, GA, with Dr. Jerry Jones eulogist and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 till 7:30 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
