MOTHER ELLEN LUCILE RHODES SATTERWHITE - AGE 83, -Of Dalton, Georgia and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was a member of Corinthian Church Of God In Christ in Chicago and Greater St. James Overcoming Church Of God in Dalton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Rhodes and Aloe Alexander; husband, Elder Ralph Satterwhite, Sr.; son, Bobby Satterwhite, Sr.; stepson, Ralph Satterwhite, Jr.; stepdaughter, Della Burks;brothers, Jimmy, tommy, Elbert, Fred, Johnny, Claude Rhodes; sisters, Katherine Rhodes, Olean Quarles, and Mozell Cornish.Survivors are her brother, William (Carolyn) Rhodes; adopted daughter, Lavett Satterwhite; stepdaughter, Inez Branson, Mary Stearns, daughter-in-law, Ernestine Tillis; two grandchildren that she raised as her own, Angelitta Satterwhite, Bobby (Mary) Satterwhite; grandson, Robert Satterwhite; granddaughter, LaToya Satterwhite; great grandchildren, Bobby Satterwhite, III, Amanda Johnathan, Caroline, Teagan Satterwhite; great great grandchildren, Alexa, Robert, Macaiya, Camron, Cardell, Breiyanna, and Marcus Satterwhite; stepgrandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Minnie Rhodes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, foster daughters, other relatives, and friends.Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. at Greater St. James Overcoming Church Of God with Dr. Bishop Nicky P. Starling and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A. M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 p. m.
