MOTHER EULA LEE BRANHAM – Age 94, of Atlanta, Georgia and formerly of Chatsworth and Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She was born in Murray County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Joe Branham and Onie Beck Branham, a member of Salem Baptist Church in Atlanta, and retired as a media specialist in the Atlanta Public School System. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Amanda Calhoun and Lucille Branham, brother, Murray Branham, niece, Edna Murphy, and nephews, William L. Calhoun and Wiley E. Calhoun. Miss Branham was a 1942 graduate of Emery Street High School, and received the Bachelors Degree from Clark College, the Masters Degree from Atlanta University, and the Education Specialist Degree from Georgia State University. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Goodlett; nephew, Murray Goodlett of Dalton; great niece and caregiver, Camille Goodlett Stephens of Atlanta, other nieces, Mary Sims and Elaine Winn, both of Dalton, Georgia; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Salem Baptist Church conducting the Devotion Service. Pastor Erma Raymond and other ministers will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Murray Brothers Funeral Home, 1199 Utoy Springs Road, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia from 1:00-7:00 P.M., and will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home.
