Obituary For Frankie Mae McClure Broglen
MRS. FRANKIE MAE McCLURE BROGLEN- Age 86, - Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 with her family at her bedside. Mrs. Broglen was born on June 6, 1937 in Sugar Valley, Georgia to the late Frank McClure and Louise Isabelle Wilkey McClure Miller. She was preceded by her husband, Robert Broglen, stepfather, Edgar Miller, grandson, Anthony “Man” Sewell, and aunt, Mariah Hunt. For many years she was employed at Gordon Hospital and retired from Coronet Beaulieu Carpets. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Calhoun, Georgia.
Survivors are her loving children, sons, Donald Broglen of Calhoun, Georgia, Douglas (Carla) Broglen of Panama City, Florida; daughters, Evangelist Deborah (Rev. John) Harris of Cartersville, Georgia, Darlaine Shropshire, and Denise (Anthony) Harris of Calhoun; grandchildren, Shana (Todd) Moore, Tiphanie (Josh) McClure, Justin (Crystal) Phillips, Chazera Harris, Cedric (Felicia) Shropshire, Anthony “Rat” (Melody) Shropshire, Ashley Shropshire, Brandy Smith, Aubrey (Brian) Higginbotham, Amber Hiles, Jalen Broglen, and Jámya Broglen; nineteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; cousins; other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 3:00 P. M. at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr., Blvd., Dalton, GA., 30721 with Evangelist Deborah J. Harris as Eulogist and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 P. M. until the funeral hour. Interment will be at Pine Grove Church Cemetery, Red Bud, Georgia on Monday at 11:00 A. M. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
