Obituary For George O.W. Christopher
PASTOR GEORGE O. W. CHRISTOPHER - Age 84, Of Rossville, Georgia passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 with his family and loved ones at his bedside. Pastor Christopher was born February 7, 1941 and was preceded in death by his daughter, Roseanna Christopher, parents and siblings. For many years he pastored Midway Independent Christian Church in Chickamauga, Georgia and had a love for gospel music. He retired as a Welder from Eureka Industries.
Survivors are his wife of Fifty years, Roxie Ann Owens Christopher; sister, Helen Grimes of Ringgold, GA.; two brothers, Frank Wooten of Chattanooga, TN., and Danny Wooten of Alabama; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Larry M. Owens and other ministers officiating. Pastor Christopher’s remains will lie in state Thursday, January 5, 2026 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour. Interment, Lakewood Memory Garden, Rossville, GA. Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
