MRS. HENRIETTA SMITH LINDLEY – Age 83, of Marietta, GA formerly of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was born March 1, 1940 to her late parents, Henry Smith and Ruby Ware Smith. She was a member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Summerville, GA and was once a member of the Caravans Gospel Singers. She was a self-employed Caretaker for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe “Buster” Lindley, two children, Jacqueline Adams and Keith London, two sister, Mildred “Rabbit” Smith and Frankie Mae Glanton, three brothers, William “Bill” Smith, Charles “C. W.” Smith, and Henry “Pandy” Smith, grandson, Darcus Adams, and brother-in-law, Hollis Knox Lindley.
She is survived by her loving children, Shirley Smith of Clearwater, FL, Brenda Adams Parks of St. Charles, MO, Minnie Adams of Rome, GA, Ronald “Dan” Adams of Summerville, GA, Oscar Lee Adams, Mooselake, MN, William “Lil’ Bill” Adams, Sue (Anthony) London Bullock, Belinda Gail Adams, and Meshika Lindley all of Marietta, GA; 13 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; brothers, Frank Smith of Philadelphia, PA and McArthur Smith of Summerville, GA; sisters-in-law, Mary Smith of Demopalis, AL and Mary Smith of Greenville, SC, June Knox Lindley, Lynn Brooks, Patricia Shaw, and Beverlyn Rounds; brothers-in-law, Willie Knox, Rodee Sharkee, Gary Knox Lindley, Bill Knox, Jerome Knox, and Robert “Bobby” Knox Lindley; mothered Brillance Darden, Ayann Sanders Schomberg, and Casey Smith; god daughter, Jennifer Foster; special friends, Rhonda Pollard and Pauline (Jeff “Red”) Stamper; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Service will be Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 265 Oak Hill Baptist Rd, Summerville, GA 30747 with Rev. George Beavers, Eulogist. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church. Interment, Summerville City Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton, GA.

She had a pleasant attitude and sweet spirit. Mother Henrietta gave words of inspiration to those who spoke with her. She was an impeccable dresser and she enjoyed church.
