Obituary For Henry Clark Smith

MR. HENRY CLARK SMITH – Age 73, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. He was born on June 7, 1945 in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Henry and Eva Mae Scott Smith, was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, retired from Calhoun City Schools, and was a United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Catherine Smith and Annie Ruth Washington, and four brothers, Alvin Smith, Jake Smith, Clinton Smith, and Charles Smith.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Carolyn Curtis Smith of Calhoun, Georgia; children, Henry Leslie Smith of Cartersville, Georgia, Steven D. Smith of Calhoun, Frances (Darryl) Smith Burns of Gadsden, Alabama, Cynthia Davis of Calhoun, and Lamont (Stacey) Smith of Dalton, Georgia; grandchildren, Reunda Smith, Rodney Davis, Tyson Davis, Starr Smith, Tory Smith, Desmen Smith, Jada Smith, Layla Smith, Caleigh Smith, Victoria Smith, and Haleigh Smith; sister, Frances Griffin of Rome, Georgia; brother, Lamar (Patricia) Smith of Rome; aunts, Mattie Scott and Hanora Gregory; uncle, Hiram (Linda) Hawkins; goddaughters, Vivian White and Kimberly Holmes; special friends, Bubba Simpson and Willie Jackson; a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1170 Rome Road, S.W., Calhoun, Georgia, with Pastor James Washington, Jr., and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church, 411 College Street, Calhoun, Georgia, on Friday Evening 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
