MR. JAMES ARTHUR βORDIEβ SMITH β Age 68, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was born January 5, 1957 to his late parents; father, John Henderson Smith and mother, Vera Grimes Smith. He was employed as a Roofer for the City of Chattanooga, TN and Journeyman Iron Worker. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, and barbequing with & for his beloved family members. He is also preceded by his sister, Sandra Lynn Smith Stewart.
He is survived by his devoted children, Christie Shropshire-Shelton, Tamper Ryals, Tony Lumen Morgan Smith, Corneilius Woods, Sr.; grandchildren, Deion Shelton, Cashmyn Shelton, Tamya Favors, Natalya Oattes, Tyell Bush, Dakota Bush, Corneilius Woods, Jr, Chasity Woods, and Cornarius Woods; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, LaFredrick (Vivian) Smith, Dwight (Belinda) Smith, and Joyce Diane Smith; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be Friday, January 24, 2025 at 12:00 noon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3777 Wilcox Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37411, with Pastor Steve Coudle, Eulogist and Rev. Allen Jones, Officiant. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at the church. Interment; West Hill Cemetery, Dalton, Ga. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

We were all planning to take Artie to Las Vegas for his 1st time in May. We did not know if he was sick. Artie was the 'STAR OF THE SHOW ALWAY" TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT COOK Especially Ribs-his barbecue was delicious. GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
