Obituary For James Jeffery Menifee, Sr.
JAMES JEFFERY MENIFEE, SR. - Age 59, born March 12, 1962 in Chattanooga, TN. He was a faithful member of Resurrected Reformed Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board.
He was employed by Bill Ortwein Signs and Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital for many years until his early retirement in 2018.
On Wednesday May 19, 2021, Jeffery passed away peacefully at a local facility. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rev Lucius Menifee Sr. and Louise Menifee. Brothers, Calvin Menifee and Edward βBusterβ Chapman. Sister, Barbara Ward. Grandchildren, Jamie and Jameson Sanderfur. He leaves to cherish his memories his lovingly devoted wife of 35 years, Anita (Woods) Menifee; Sons, Jarvis Menifee, James (Danecia) Menifee Jr., Quancy (Daysha) Menifee; Daughters, Olympia Menifee and Kyah Menifee; Brothers, Fredrick Brown, Lucius Menifee, Willie Lee (Clothied) Menifee, Darrell (Alicia) Menifee, Marvin (June) Menifee; Sisters, Joyce (Larry) Chapman, Gwendolyn Smith, Charlotte Brown, Alice (Darnell) Turner, Willie Ruth (Wendell) Menifee; Grandchildren, Grayson and Gherison Strickland, Gabriel Menifee, Raekwon and Lyric Menifee, London Strickland, Kortni Odum and Cornelius Carr. Sisters in love, Eurdis (Maurice) Moore, Starlyn Howard, Stephanie Benford and Sonya Stiggers; Brother in love, Elder James (Alanda) Leslie, Shun Stiggers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Resurrected Reformed Baptist Church, 2230 E 18th St, Chattanooga, TN 37404, with Pastor Eddie D. Jacks, Eulogist. Interment: Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
