MR. JAMES LLYOD BRANDON- Age, 63 of Chattanooga, TN passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born January 7, 1957 to the late Joseph Melvin Brandon and Louise A. McClure in Lake Charles, LA. He was a veteran in the United States Army and became self-employed. He was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church. He is preceded by his parents, grandparents, and four uncles, Lewis, Charles, Clay, and William McClure.
He is survived by his loving family, his son, Demetrius Brandon; daughters, Shawanna Hardley and Tawanna McGhee; 5 grandchildren; sister, Clara L. (Ron) Edwards; brothers, Elder Wilbert (Tillecia) McClure and Ralph (Tedra) Hughley; aunts, Juanita Haywood and Florence Tellis; sister-in-law, Amanda M. McClure; special devoted friend, Sharon Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home, 4203 Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37411, with Dr. Willie Paul officiating. He will lie in state at Ponders from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour on Saturday. Interment will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc.

Uncle James I will sure miss you. You used to make me laugh with all that cussing that you used to do. You cussed so much you didn't even know you was cussing, and when somebody would say something about it you would say, "Oh excuse me darling, I didn't know I was cussing" start back to talking and within a few sentences start right back up again. I sure am going to miss you and your love for family and cooking. I love you Uncle James, love Schell
