MRS. JEANETTE BLACKWELL PARKS – Age 71, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at her residence. She was born on April 28, 1945 to the late Dennis Blackwell and Deborah Burse Blackwell and was preceded in death by her brother, John Thomas Blackwell, and sisters, Mary Blanche Blackwell Smith and Loretta Blackwell Darling. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Henry Allon Parks; one daughter, Eliscia (Tobey) Hall; one son, Brian Keith (Melissa) Parks, Sr.; grandchildren, Kristan Parks, Mya Hall, Brian K. Parks, Jr., Maliyah Parks, and Tatianna Parks; one great granddaughter, Ky’leigh Stevenson; two sisters, Valeria (Malcolm) Fain of Dalton, and Kimberly Blackwell Browning of Alpharetta, Georgia; one brother, Samuel Dennis (Patricia) Blackwell of Seattle, Washington; aunts, Serena (William) Carr, Catherine Blackwell, Carol (Nathaniel) Williams, Marzell Mayberry, and Theresa Davis; uncles, Horace Burse, Robert Burse, and James Burse; brothers-in-law, Ronald Parks, Walter Smith, Sr., and William Goodlett; sisters-in-law, LaFrancis Cline, Arlene (Chester) Beck, Maxine Arnold, and Gloria Anderson; special nephew, Anthony Blackwell; special friends, Walter & Lillian Miller, Scott & Jennifer Grafe and daughters, Mary Lawrence, Phyllis Broome, and Iva Lee Macon; special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2014 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia, with Dr. Thomas Hall, Dr. Nicky P. Starling, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
