She was genuinely a blessing in my life and I will miss her. May the fond memories of joyful times together with your mother bring you comfort during these difficult days.

Mrs. West was a great teacher and a friend to everyone she meet and will be missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to have known her. My prayers and condolences to her family and friends, God bless you all!

I think I have known Maxine most all our lives. Being close in age and raised in the same community in Gore, however we got better aquatinted later in years. I've always admired, loved and glad to call her friend. My heartfelt sympathy to her boys and all her family.

I worked with Maxine at Menlo. I had a cardboard cut out of The Statue of Liberty in my classroom that she would borrow every year. I also worked with her through the Chattooga County Literacy Council. She was always kind to me. Pat Money
