Obituary For Joanne Pritchett

MS. JOANNE PRITCHETT - Age 77, of Atlanta, Georgia and formerly of Kingston, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. She was the youngest daughter of 12 siblings, born on March 31, 1945 to Mr. Solomon Pritchett Sr. and Hattie Mae Barton Pasley Pritchett. She was preceded in death by her Sister: Lila Jean Pasley Elliott Carter. Brothers: Jal Bob Pritchett, Billy Earl Pritchett, Homer Dean Pritchett, Solomon Pritchett, Jr., Calvin Lee Pritchett, James Paul Pritchett, Melvin Pritchett and Odell Pritchett.

She was educated in the Bartow School System, she was in graduating Class of 1964 from Summer Hill High School. She also attended Savannah State College.

She was raised in the Church at an early age, and she later joined Jackson Memorial Baptist Church where she has been a faithful and devoted member for many years. She was President of the Grace Steward Usher Board and was a member of the Deaconess Board.

She was employed at Northside Hospital and worked there until she retired in 1998

She leaves to cherish her memories: Son, J. De Vaughn Pritchett Heard; Brothers, John (Clara) Pasley and Tony (Marchelle) Pritchett; Sisters-In-Law, Janice Pritchett, Shirley Robinson, and Roxie Pritchett; Brother-in-Law; Arthur Carter; A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial Service and Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:30 P. M. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 85 Shaw Street, Kingston, Georgia 30145 with her son, J. De Vaughn Pritchett Heard as Eulogist, and Pastor Darrell Ellis as Presider. The family will receive friends at the church thirty minutes before the service. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
