MOTHER JOYCE LEE STURDIVANT PRICE - Age 86, of Summerville, GA passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Joyce was born on July 10, 1939 to her late parents, Richard Sturdivant and Ama Lee Cook Sturdivant. She was the third out of six children. She was a 1957 graduate of Summerville Public School and was a lifetime member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Joyce retired from Fortune Mills. Joyce was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Joe” Price, sisters, Frankie Reese, Maxine Benson, and Geraldine Hall, and niece, Marjorie Buckley.

Precious memories will be cherished by her loving son, Pierre Howard Price, Kerrin Ricardo Price, daughter-in-law, Shirley Wooten Price; grandchildren, LaTonya Wooten, Tony Wooten, Ricardo (Raven) Price; sisters, June Carol S. Johnson, and Pamela S. Madden; brother-in-law, John Hall; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and her church family.

Homegoing Service will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:00 p. m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 281 Georgia Avenue, Summerville GA. 30747 with Pastor Kevin Roach, as Eulogist and other Ministers officiating. The Family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home Inc., Dalton, GA.
