MRS. KARA GOODSON WASHINGTON – Age 76, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Willie Floyd Goodson and Octavia Minnie Lee Winters Goodson. One brother, Willie James Goodson, preceded her in death. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was retired from Cartersville Spinning. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Washington; daughter, Helen (Anthony) Davis; grandson, O’Shea Davis of Calhoun, Georgia, granddaughter, Shaneekwa Davis of Cartersville, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Lynette (Kenneth) Clemmons, April Porch Jackson; stepsons, Harry Washington, and Larry (Fran) Washington of Calhoun; five sisters, her twin sister, Martha Slocum, Alean Smith, Magdalene McAfee of Cartersville, Georgia, Gracie Goodson, and Cozella Hyatt of Calhoun; four brothers, Robert (Shirley) Goodson, Bobby Lee (Virginia) Goodson of Cartersville; Charles Goodson of Rydal, Georgia, and Billy (Felicia) Goodson of Calhoun; two uncles, Bobby Winters, and David Hall; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 1:00 P. M. in the Chapel with Rev. Eric Harris officiating and Pastor Zachery Washington. Interment, Gordon Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M.
