MRS. KATHERINE ELIZABETH SHOEMAKER STEVENSON - Age 89, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. She was born October 2, 1934 to her late parents, Junicus and Una Powell Shoemaker. She was also preceded by her husband, Roy Lee Stevenson, daughter, Joyce S. Jonga, and son, Louie Frank Stevenson. She retired from Needlecraft Corporation of America and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Katherine is survived by her son, Henry Rudell (Ivis) Stevenson of Tampa, FL; daughters, Martha Katherine (David) Allen of Joneboro, GA, Charlotte Delores Stevenson of LaFayette, GA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 289 Dunwoody Rd, LaFayette, GA 30728 with Dr. Donald White, Eulogist and Pastor Rhuebin M. Taylor, Officiant. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour on Thursday at the church. Interment; LaFayette City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
