Obituary For Kathryn Jones McDade
MRS. KATHRYN JONES McDADE – Age 90, of Dalton, Georgia passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1936 to the late Virgil A. Jones, Sr. and Velma A. Watters Jones. She was preceded by her husband, Henry McDade, Jr., siblings, Virgil A. Jones, Jr., Sarah A. Jones, Robert “Bobby” Jones, and Edward Lamar Jones. Kathryn graduated from Emery Street High School, Dalton Junior College and was a dedicated Registered Nurse at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful member of Mountain Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed yard work, house cleaning, reading, and cherished times with her family and friends.
Precious loving memories will remain with her three sons, Henry Allen “Penny” McDade of Dalton, Georgia, Mickey McDade of Duluth, Georgia, and Darren Kyle McDade of Dalton; granddaughter, Kathryn Jocilyn (Rev. Mark, Sr.) Redmond of Woodstock, Georgia; great grandchildren, Mariah Lee Redmond, Mark Anthony Redmond, Jr., and Emma Marie Redmond; special niece, Patricia Hollingsworth; special nephew, Michael “Hop” Towns; devoted friend, JoAnn Smith; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, the Mountain Ridge Baptist Church Family, and friends.
Homegoing Service for Mrs. Kathryn McDade will be Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 12:00 noon at West Hill Cemetery with Words of Comfort from Rev. Dr. Jerry D. Jones and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church, 1401 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia 30721 from 10:00 A. M. until 11:30 A. M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

She was blessed to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and she loved all of her Family.
