MRS. LACHRISIA DILLARD MACON – AGE 76, - Of Chicago, Illinois and formerly of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Friday April 29, 2022. She was born on June 21, 1945 to the late Edward Dillard and Ola Bell King Dillard. She was preceded by her brother, Rev. Terry Dillard, and sister, Rebecca “Becky” Dillard. She was retired from AT&T for over twenty-five years as Executive Secretary Market Development.
Survivors are her loving and devoted husband of fifty-seven years, Vollie F. Macon, Sr. of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Valerie Macon of Greensboro, North Carolina; son, Vollie F. Macon, Jr. of Chicago; brother, William (Daffie) Dillard of Roanoke, Alabama; sister, Suzanne Walton of Dalton, Georgia; sister-in-law, Mattie Dillard of Florida; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr., Blvd., Dalton, GA. 30721 with Bishop Nicky Paul Starling as Eulogist, and Pastor Kenneth Scaife, Presider. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday after 1:00 P. M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour before the service. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
