Know that your loved one, Breezer, is finally at peace and find comfort in the fond memories he has left behind. There will be joy in the morning as Breezer comes to rests in his final home.
To the family of Lamar Bonds, my family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy. We were all saddened when we heard that he had passed. Our families were neighbors on Lavert Drive. Since his passing, I have reflected on the sweet memories I have of the Bonds family. The Bonds' were a close knit and loving family. They were a family of inclusion and not exclusion. They welcomed our family into the neighborhood and for that we were grateful. I remember on Sunday afternoons after we had come home from church, ate our Sunday meals, my brother, John, Pat, Lamar, Waiters, Betty, Eli, Tony, the Macon family and I would gather together to play softball. We loved those Sunday afternoon softball games. We would have so much fun and we always looked forward to our times together. When Lamar and Waiters got older they started riding motorcycles. Their time of playing ball with us were few and far between. I also remember my mom arranging transportation back and forth from school for my brother and me with Lamar. If memory serves me correctly, he had a black Volkswagen. Lamar was our means of transportation until he graduated from high school. Lamar was a safe and responsible driver. As life would have it, we all grew up and went our separate ways, but Lamar never changed. Whenever or wherever I would see Lamar, he always had a smile on his face and would ask about each one of my family members. Lamar was a kind, gentle and humble man. I know he will be missed by his family and friends. Treasure the fond memories and good times that you had with him. To know Lamar was to love him. Respectfully, Deanna Baker, Sandra Milton, John Shavers, Jacqueline Willis and Pam Cooper
