Obituary For L.D. Careathers
MR. L. D. CAREATHERS - Age 78 - of LaFayette Georgia passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was born on Thursday, January 8, 1948 to the late D. L. Careathers and Luella Morton Careathers. He was preceded by his four brothers, Kenneth, Charles, George, and Donald Careathers and three sisters, Gloria Careathers, Carrie McCutchens, and Linda Davis. Mr. Careathers was a member of Steele Street Church of Christ.
Survivors are his loving family, daughter, Tiauna Glenn; granddaughters, Tiazania Glenn of LaFayette, Georgia; great grandchildren, Malcolm Price, Gionna Price, and Mionna Price; sister, Ella B. Cleveland; sister-in-law, Mary Careathers; brother-in-law, Jefferson Daniel Davis; special friend, Vera Lee White; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Houston and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service. Interment, Napiers Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

To L.D.'s family, on behalf of the Davis family, we express our sincere condolences and prayers of comfort. We are sadden to hear the news of his passing but away from the body is being home with God. We remember his kindness and love in our family when we were able to attend church with him. To Ella B, we are still grateful for your love and support during the illness and death of our sister, Paulette Davis in 2008 and wish we were able to be there with you, but due to illness at this time, we cannot.
